Etanda Elliott is an emerging multidisciplinary artist and settler who was born, lives, and creates on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. She is currently working toward her BFA in Visual Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

Etanda enjoys the act of noticing. She frequently takes quick photos of any scene that catches her eye and uses that imagery as a starting place for her painting and drawing compositions. Her approach varies, sometimes allowing for a recognizable connection between her photography and her finished work while at other times it takes a more distant or abstract formal departure. Etanda primarily works with oil and acrylic paint but is also fond of India-ink markers, as all these mediums allow for rich, chromatic colour explorations. She occasionally experiments with book making projects and has curatorial experience as well.
